Our premium ingredients never include parabens or phthalates, so you’re ensured an all-natural burn for 40 hours.
All of our candles are proudly handmade in Calgary, Alberta.
The Maker
Hi I'm Riley!
Engraved Candle Co. is a home-based business in Southeast Calgary. Born and raised in Kelowna, BC I took off to backpack around the Eastern cultures after high school for 8 years before making Australia home-base. When the pandemic hit, I came back to Canada and landed in Calgary, which I now call home.
Being sequestered during quarantine sparked my entrepreneurial spirit and I started making candles after discovering just how many harmful ingredients are in everyday household items, especially candles. Candles have also always been part of my personal ritual, even while travelling, so I wanted to make something with a positive eco-impact that aligns with my values. After years of making and selling a variety of candles, I’ve come to understand the power of a good fragrance, and how intrinsic it is to memory; something I started to realize during all my travels abroad. I also realized there were no affordable luxury candle companies that don't use labels. Even if I bought a luxury candle it was a one-time use and I threw out the jar afterward. This is when Engraved Candle Co. and the refills were born!
